Multiwire Drawing Machine for Efficient and Consistent Conductor Production

In wire and cable manufacturing, conductor quality and production efficiency directly affect the final performance and cost of cable products. The Multiwire Drawing Machine represents an advanced solution that improves both aspects by drawing multiple copper wires of the same diameter at the same time. Unlike traditional single-wire drawing machines, this approach ensures uniform processing conditions for each wire, resulting in consistent mechanical and electrical properties.

A key advantage of the Multiwire Drawing Machine is its ability to perform online annealing after drawing. This “continuous drawing and continuous annealing” process improves conductivity and softness, making the wires especially suitable for subsequent stranding operations. Because multiple wires are produced simultaneously, overall production efficiency increases significantly, effectively replacing several single-head drawing machines.

From an operational perspective, the machine uses high-precision helical gear transmission combined with strong spray-type lubrication and cooling. An independently driven gear pump ensures reliable lubrication with pressure protection and automatic shutdown in case of failure. This design provides stable operation, reduced equipment wear, and consistent wire quality, making the multiwire drawing machine a cost-effective and reliable choice for modern cable production lines.

Drum Twister for High-Efficiency Power Cable Stranding

In modern power cable manufacturing, the Drum Twister is a key piece of equipment for stranding large-length and large-cross-section cables, including Milliken conductors. Compared with conventional stranding machines, drum twisters offer much higher production efficiency, with operating speeds generally exceeding 30 m/min. The large take-up drum, which can reach up to 4000 mm in diameter, allows longer continuous production and significantly expands the application range.

The Drum Twister supports both back-twist and non-back-twist processes. Pay-off bobbins can rotate synchronously with the take-up frame or remain stationary, while the take-up drum completes twisting and winding at the same time. This makes it suitable not only for conductor stranding, but also for steel wire or steel tape armoring, as well as copper wire or copper tape shielding. Multiple cable structures such as 3-core, 4-core, 5-core, “4+1”, and “3+2” can be produced on the same platform.

With sub-motor drive technology, high-precision components, and PLC control with a touch screen interface, the equipment ensures stable high-speed operation and easy parameter adjustment. Optional wrapping, armoring, and filling devices further enhance process flexibility, making the drum twister a reliable solution for high-capacity power cable production.
